Emigrants by Slawomir Mrozek is… like a friend coming up to you and slapping you with the backside of his hand, yelling in your face, shaking you, “WAKE UP!” This piece just made it into my top ten list. Going to get my hands on the book but I assume it is better than the outstanding videotaped play with Marek Kondrat and Zbigniew Zamachowski… wow, sorry but I’m still under the effect when typing this. This was hardcore. Highly recommended to people who leave their roots behind by necessity or curiosity. Also might be something for those on the other side who think Emigration and people who make the step get teleported to a place, where, as the Hungarian saying goes, even the fence is made out of sausage.
